A BMX Course Comes to Nagoya Port
A limited-time urban sports park that anyone can use freely opens at the Minato Sports Plaza venue. It is open from the pre-opening on Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, October 25. A 28-meter BMX course (quarter pipes, waves and a grind box) has been set up, with BMX and skateboard trial sessions on Sunday, October 4 and Sunday, October 11 (both free), and a professional BMX show on Saturday, October 17.
A Bon Odori yagura (festival tower) and an artificial-turf lawn stay at the venue throughout the festival. The yagura is open as a photo spot, so feel free to come close and take pictures. Only performers and staff authorized by the organizer may climb the yagura.

Bikes, helmets and protectors are available to borrow during the trial sessions. If you use the park outside the trial sessions, you must bring your own helmet (none are available to rent).

For First-Timers / For Riders

For First-Timers
On weekends, when staff are on site, even first-timers can give it a try with confidence. Trying it out is free.

For Riders
On Mondays and Fridays, you can ride freely between 11:00 and 21:00 once you agree to the Terms of Use via the QR code. Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for inspection.
Rules
Please Read Before Using the Park
For your safety, please be sure to follow these rules.
- Closed every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for inspection (except Sep 22 (Tue) & Sep 23 (Wed), open as a special exception)
- You must bring your own helmet. Helmets are not available for rent at the venue. You cannot use the park without one
- Children of junior high school age or younger (up to about age 15) must also wear protectors (knees, elbows and wrists) in addition to a helmet
- Children of elementary school age or younger (up to about age 12) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children not yet in elementary school (under about age 6) may not use the park
- BMX bikes with pegs, bar ends or other metal parts may not be used
- Before using the park, please agree to the Terms of Use via the QR code at the venue
- There is only one entrance, on the north side of the venue. A net is set up there to keep equipment from flying out
- The park cannot be used in rain or stormy weather, or when the lighting is insufficient
- Scan the QR code on the information board at the entrance (there is only one entrance, on the north side of the venue)
- Read the Terms of Use, then agree and register (via Google Forms; paper forms are not accepted)
- Put on your helmet and ride
* Urban sports carry a risk of injury. You use the park at your own risk.
