A park themed on "urban sports" and "festivals" opens at Nagoya Port!

From the pre-opening on Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, October 25, this limited-time park hosts all kinds of events. From urban sports experiences, BMX showcases, Bon Odori dancing and taiko drumming at Nagoya Port to Okinawan Eisa, live music and even pro wrestling, there is plenty of entertainment to enjoy.

Park

A Park You Can Enjoy Any Day

The "Urban Sports Park" has been set up at the Minato Sports Plaza venue. From the pre-opening on Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, October 25, anyone can use it free of charge.

Urban Sports Park

A 28-meter BMX course, here for a limited time. Open 11:00–21:00 and free for everyone. There will be a professional BMX show on Saturday, October 17, and free BMX and skateboard trial sessions on Sunday, October 4 and Sunday, October 11. Closed every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for inspection.

Here is what the Minato Sports Plaza venue looks like. The Urban Sports Park, an artificial-turf lawn, the yagura (festival tower) and the stage are lined up side by side.

  • Urban Sports ParkBMX and skateboarding. Please bring your own helmet (no rentals).
  • Artificial-turf lawnRelax and spend your time as you like.
  • Yagura (festival tower)A photo spot that stays up throughout the festival. On Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, October 10, there will be dancing on top of the yagura and a taiko drum performance around it. Only performers and event staff may go up.
  • Stage (aluminum truss)For ceremonies and live performances.
  • Headquarters tentsTwo tents on the east side of the venue. Come here if you need help.

Opening Ceremony

The festival opened with taiko drumming by 高六太鼓 (Takaroku Daiko) and ひよ鼓舞太 (Hiyokobuta) and Eisa dancing by 琉球國祭り太鼓 (Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko). From 17:00 in the evening, the lanterns were lit for the first time for Bon Odori dancing with あすなろ会 (Asunaro-kai) — a scene you could only see on this day.

Sep 18–19 (Fri–Sat) / Oct 23–24 (Fri–Sat)

Nagoya Port × Okinawa Day

Eisa dancing, Okinawan folk songs and live music, plus food stalls serving Okinawan dishes. For four days, Nagoya Port is all about Okinawa. On Saturday, October 24, 高六太鼓 (Takaroku Daiko) and HIBI音 (Hibine) also perform.

Nagoya Port × Music Day

A day of all kinds of music, centered on local artists. On Sunday, October 11, 佐藤ひでゆき (Hideyuki Sato), chako*, 小川エリ (Eri Ogawa) and キシモトジュンイチ (Junichi Kishimoto) perform from 13:00 to 14:55. On Saturday, October 17, three acts perform: 竹ちなみ (Chinami Take), ハナロクショウ (Hanarokusho) and 虹彩インコ (Kosai Inko).

A wrestling ring comes to Nagoya Port for pro wrestling you can enjoy completely free of charge. After the wrestling, there is also a special idol live show!

Nagoya Port × Idol Day

A day of stage performances centered on local idols. On Sunday, September 20, キャンフェスLASTサマー2026【DAY1】 (CanFes LAST Summer 2026 [DAY1]) starts at 12:10. On Sunday, September 27 and Sunday, October 18 the show starts at 11:15, and on Sunday, October 4 at 12:15 (planned). 19 acts perform on September 20, 20 on September 27, 11 on October 4 and 18 on October 18.

Both days, 17:00–18:30. Gather around the yagura at the venue for the dances of this town. We will dance 12 songs in all.

NAGOYA PORT FES is held at two venues around JETTY at the same time. The festival as a whole runs from Saturday, August 22 to Sunday, October 25. At the other venue, "Mini ASIAN Village" (JETTY Front Plaza), events got started early, on Saturday, August 22. The Minato Sports Plaza Venue (former JETTY East site) covered on this page opens with the pre-opening on Saturday, September 12.
